Official Press Release

Mustafa Zeboon Announces Candidacy for Mayor of London

Hello, London!

My name is Mustafa Zeboon, and I am officially announcing my candidacy for Mayor of London.

After spending time overseas, I recently returned home to London and was disappointed by what I found. Our city feels stuck. We continue to face many of the same challenges year after year, yet meaningful progress remains frustratingly slow. The same problems are discussed repeatedly, but too often, the solutions never seem to materialize.

London is a city with enormous potential, but for too long it has lacked clear direction and decisive leadership. Having experienced other cities and countries firsthand, I believe we can do much better than the status quo. We should not accept stagnation as normal.

"That is why I am running for mayor. I am a youthful candidate that is full of energy, and focused on putting the people first."

If elected, I will focus on tackling the issues that matter most to Londoners: addressing the housing crisis, repairing and modernizing infrastructure, reducing homelessness, cleaning our environment, reliable transit, and bringing greater urgency to decision making. These challenges cannot be solved through endless studies, delays, or political talking points. They require action, leadership, and measurable results.

This campaign is about progress where progress is long overdue.

We need better public transit. We need safer and more walkable neighborhoods. We need well maintained roads and infrastructure. We need a lower cost of living and a city government that works efficiently for the people it serves.

I understand that many residents are tired of politics being framed as a constant battle between the left and the right. I am not running to represent an ideology. I am running to represent London.

Issues like safe communities, affordable housing, reliable transit, lower taxes, and economic opportunity are not left wing or right wing priorities, they are priorities for everyone. My approach will always be simple: "Does this make life better for the people of London?" "Does it benefit the majority of our community?" If the answer is yes, then it deserves serious consideration regardless of political labels.

Not every issue is black and white. When compromise is necessary, I will seek practical solutions that deliver real results.

London is my home. Despite its challenges, it is a city I care deeply about, and it is a city I believe in. I want future generations to inherit a London that is stronger, safer, more affordable, and more prosperous than the one we have today.

My heart is with the people of this city. I hear your concerns, and I am listening.

This campaign is only just beginning, and I look forward to speaking with residents across London about their ideas, priorities, and hopes for our city's future. I will do what is necessary. But I need your help, because what is a city without community?

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope I can continue listening to the public and communicating with respect, civility, and a shared commitment to making London better.
